What to Plant in Long Beach!

Calscape.org - To learn more about the characteristics and growth habits of just about every native California plant, visit the website of the California Native Plant Society. Here, you can also find local nurseries to buy locally native seeds and plants from, as well as more information on how to care for your native garden.

Walqaqsh California Native Seeds - Support California's only Indigenous owned Native seed store and buy seeds online.

Native Milkweeds -  Milkweed is the sole host plant for Monarch butterflies to fuel up for their long flight. It’s important to plant only native milkweed plants, as tropical milkweed plants can disrupt monarch migration patterns. Milkweed can be purchased at Theodore Payne Foundation nursery, 10459 Tuxford St. in Sun Valley, theodorepayne.org
